Description Position Summary Fred F. Collis & Sons is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber / Installer to join our installation team. This role is focused on system installations including plumbing, hydronic systems, and mechanical integrations associated with HVAC and energy efficiency upgrades. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering high-quality installations that meet both company standards and program requirements. Key Responsibilities Install plumbing systems including domestic water piping, drainage, fixtures, and equipment Install and assist with hydronic systems including boilers, indirect tanks, and distribution piping Perform system replacements, retrofits, and new installations in residential and light commercial settings Work on energy efficiency projects including weatherization-related plumbing scopes Read and interpret blueprints, scopes of work, and program documentation Ensure all work complies with New York State plumbing codes and program requirements Collaborate with HVAC installers, electricians, and project managers on multi-trade projects Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites Accurately complete job documentation and communicate project updates Requirements Qualifications Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent field experience 3+ years of plumbing installation experience Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and installation practices Experience with hydronic heating systems (boilers, baseboard, radiant) preferred Ability to read blueprints and scopes of work Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Experience New Construction Rough-In Plumbing Experience HVAC/mechanical system integration experience OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb throughout the workday
