PLUMBING SHIFT ENGINEER – BLUEWATER

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Plumbing Shift Engineer to join our team in London. As a Plumbing Shift Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality maintenance services to our clients on Bluewater shopping centre.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • City & Guilds Plumbing and Heating or equivalent qualifications.
  • Good building services knowledge and experience in critical environments.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Working knowledge of “Permit to work” systems and technical drawings related to plumbing.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and BMS (Building Management Systems).
  • Time-served plumbing apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a banking environment or similar sector is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of relevant plumbing regulations and standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • ACoPs L8 (Legionella Management) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

As a Plumbing Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering routine planned preventative maintenance tasks for plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sanitary installations.
  • Monitoring and maintaining water treatment systems to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Attending to plumbing-related client issues and resolving them promptly.
  • Conducting building walk-rounds, taking meter readings, and investigating plumbing faults.
  • Preparing accurate and timely reports on maintenance activities and plumbing issues.
  • Ensuring corrective and repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations and standards.
  • Assisting with installation works related to plumbing systems and participating in emergency call-out rosters.
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of our portfolio buildings, their layouts, functions, and plumbing complexities.
  • Building strong relationships with Facilities Managers, client staff, and representatives.
  • Promoting safe working practices, quality standards, and best practice methods within plumbing operations.
  • Volunteering ideas and initiatives to improve service levels and efficiency in plumbing maintenance.
