This position plays a vital role in supporting resident health, comfort, and dignity through quality food service in a long-term care setting. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements Follow standardized recipes, portion control, and food safety guidelines Assist with food preparation for later meals as needed Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and work areas Comply with all dietary, infection control, and safety regulations Work collaboratively with dietary staff to ensure timely meal service Respect resident preferences, cultural considerations, and speciality diets. Qualifications Previous cooking or food service experience preferred (healthcare or institutional setting a plus) Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate lifting Application Requirements: Please ensure that your application includes the required documents: High School Diploma or GED Two forms of identification (one of which must be a photo ID) Tribal ID (for Native American preference, if applicable) Immunization records Additionally, please ensure the references section is fully completed in your application.
