POSITION OVERVIEW

The PM/Estimator will be responsible for managing project timelines, estimating project costs, and ensuring that all mechanical, piping, MEP, and HVAC aspects are accurately accounted for in project bids. This role is crucial for securing new projects and maintaining budgetary control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, piping, MEP, and HVAC projects
  • Review and analyze project specifications and drawings to identify requirements and prepare bids
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
  • Monitor project progress and budget adherence, making adjustments as necessary
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data for accurate estimations
  • Participate in project meetings to provide updates on estimating and budgeting status

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and estimating in the mechanical industry
  • Strong knowledge of MEP and HVAC systems
  • Proficiency in estimation software and project management tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and clients
