Description TITLE: PM Fleet Maintenance Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Fleet Maintenance REPORTS TO: Fleet and Facility Manager FLSA STATUS: Exempt Position Summary: The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, under the direction of the Fleet and Facility Manager, plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of Tiger Sanitation’s fleet operations. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities, auditing processes, enhancing technician performance, and utilizing data-driven tools to improve compliance, reduce downtime, and deliver an exceptional experience for Tiger employees and customers. Essential Functions: Supervises and leads Fleet Maintenance personnel in alignment with Tiger Sanitation’s 4-Step Decision Making Process to promote safety, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and optimal vehicle uptime. Performs weekly shop walkthroughs to ensure facility cleanliness, operational readiness, and mechanical integrity of shop equipment. Conducts daily in-shop observations and work order audits, including DVIR and repair documentation, to ensure compliance with FMCSA and internal standards. Provides ongoing coaching, evaluation, performance feedback and corrective action to technicians, reinforcing Tiger’s safety and quality expectations. Partners with the Fleet and Facility Manager to address performance gaps and drive accountability among team members. Utilizes Tech Tools, Fleetio, Samsara, and other diagnostic and documentation platforms to address maintenance tasks, track data, and improve decision-making. Develops or enhances systems to record, track, and reduce deficiencies identified through PM inspections and work order audits. Maintains strong cross-departmental communication to report progress on repair timelines, safety performance, and compliance objectives. Ensures that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Promotes and enforces a safety-first culture across all aspects of fleet maintenance operations. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Strong leadership and supervisory skills with experience managing and coaching multiple technicians in shop or field environments. Ability to teach, model, and enforce safe operating procedures for vehicles, equipment, and shop protocols. Proficient in maintenance-related software systems, including Samsara, Fleetio, Tech Tools, and other diagnostic and compliance platforms. Ability to positively influence behavior and promote a culture of accountability and high performance through coaching or corrective action. Strong collaboration and communication skills across departments and teams. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or vocational training preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance, including supervisory responsibilities. Valid Class C Driver’s License required. Working Conditions Work is primarily conducted in outdoor or shop environments, with exposure to various weather conditions and mechanical elements.
