EKKINOX, AN AFFILIATE OF DRAKKAR, SPECIALIZES IN DELIVERING TAILORED OUTSOURCING SERVICES FOR ASSET-BASED COMPANIES, OFFERING COMPREHENSIVE ON-SITE LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT ACROSS FOUR KEY SERVICE LINES: FLEET MANAGEMENT, DOCK MANAGEMENT, STOCK MANAGEMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT.

We are currently looking for a PM Operations Manager at our Pointe-Claire facility. The ideal candidate will be required to manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the operation while maintaining positive relationships with drivers, customers, and colleagues.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 to 10 years of transportation management, supervisory experience
  • Bilingual – French and English – written and spoken is a MUST.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal partners, key business partners, and customers
  • Exceptional judgment must be able to make independent decisions,
  • Extraordinary teamwork and team-building skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to multi-task under pressure
  • Be committed to providing outstanding internal and external customer service
  • Experience in a 24/7 operation, preferably in the transportation industry,
  • MS Office proficiency necessary
  • Solid management of large volume LTL operations
  • General understanding of Hours of Service and transportation regulations under the governing bodies
  • AS400 is considered an asset
Responsibilities
  • Manage transportation activities throughout the province
  • Direct and develop logistic processes and establish ongoing improvement plans for deliveries, routing, and fleet management
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics for transportation operations
  • Maintain communication with other departments and management team contributing relevant information to coordinate activities and ensure high quality of service to internal and external customers
  • Report issues and trends in an ongoing manner to facilitate efficiencies, including revenue and expense management, business/customer patterns and effectiveness of processes and procedures
  • Create and maintain a high-performance culture. Train and coach staff towards establishing the required knowledge base and skills to reach departmental goals
  • Handle customer escalation situations that require increased attention outside of normal day-to-day activities
  • Provide outstanding customer service and resolve problems
  • Be on-call to support with any after-hours operational emergencies
