Responsibilities: Oversee and supervise all PM shift pharmacy operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance Verify and dispense medications for skilled nursing facility (SNF) residents with a focus on patient safety Mentor, coach, and manage pharmacy technicians and support staff during evening hours Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations, including DEA and Board of Pharmacy standards Coordinate with nursing facility staff to resolve medication-related issues and urgent requests Monitor and maintain controlled substance logs, inventory, and cycle fill processes Perform clinical drug utilization reviews (DUR) and intervene on drug interactions or contraindications Requirements: Active California Pharmacist License (RPh) in good standing — required 2+ years of pharmacy experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing pharmacy Prior supervisory or lead pharmacist experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of SNF medication management, OBRA regulations, and consultant pharmacy practices Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing software and electronic medication records Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Ability to work PM/evening shifts, including potential weekends or holidays About Us: Our Skilled Nursing Pharmacy is a dedicated provider of long-term care pharmacy services, proudly serving skilled nursing and assisted living facilities across the region.
