The Project Office Analyst plays a critical role within the Project Management Office (PMO), supporting the effective governance, reporting, and operation of projects and programs across the organisation. The role provides analysis, coordination, and assurance services that enable consistent delivery, improve decision-making, and ensure alignment with enterprise delivery standards.

Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:

  • Governance & Assurance: Support adherence to project governance frameworks, methodologies, and stage gate requirements. Assist in quality assurance reviews across key project artefacts.
  • Reporting & Insights: Maintain project and program dashboards, ensuring timely, accurate reporting of project status, milestones, risks, and financials. Provide meaningful insights through portfolio-level analysis.
  • Planning & Scheduling: Assist project teams in developing, validating, and maintaining project plans and schedules.
  • RAID Management: Support the maintenance of project risk, issue, assumption, and dependency registers, ensuring these are actively managed and escalated appropriately.
  • Tool Administration: Act as an administrator or key user of project tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or similar), supporting onboarding, user training, and data integrity.
  • Financial Tracking: Assist in managing project budgets, forecasts, and actuals. Work closely with Finance to support month-end and business case tracking.
  • Standards & Templates: Maintain and evolve standardised templates, procedures, and knowledge repositories to uplift PMO maturity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and contribute to improvements in delivery reporting, process efficiency, and PMO tools or practices.

What you will bring:

  • 2+ years experience in a project analyst, PMO, or project support role in a medium-to-large organisation.
  • Understanding of project and program management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, PMBOK).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI, MS Project).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and supporting cross-functional teams.
