PMO Analyst | Spire Healthcare | Competitive pay plus fantastic benefits | Full Time | Permanent | Home based with some travel The PMO Analyst (Planning, Estimating & Capacity/Resource Management supports the successful delivery of projects and programmes by providing expert-level planning, estimating and resource management capabilities. Working closely with delivery managers, stakeholders and senior leadership, the PMO Analyst ensures that standards relating to planning and estimating are understood and adhered to, monitoring compliance to these standards and putting in place appropriate interventions when required. This role plays a key part in ensuring that project schedules are in place and regularly maintained and that we understand our delivery capacity at any given time. This will help us to inform portfolio-level decision making and to be able to model our ability to support proposed changes to the project portfolio. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail and expertise in project planning, estimating and resource management. Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice to project and programme managers in the development and maintenance of integrated project plans, schedules and milestones. Monitor standards to ensure compliance with internal planning policy. Provide hands-on planning capability for more complex portfolios and projects where required. Organising and facilitating quarterly “Planning Increment” sessions across a broad change portfolio Managing portfolio-level dependencies and resourcing risks and issues Provide project sizing capability to allow estimates for time, effort and cost to enable accurate budgeting and forecasting. Maintain and optimise resource allocation models, including workforce planning and capacity management across all active projects. Track utilisation and availability of internal and external resources, escalating potential constraints and conflicts before they occur. Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting on capacity, resource usage and pipeline forecasts. Assist in establishing and embedding planning and estimating standards, templates and tools. Support risk and issue management processes in relation to resource availability and delivery constraints. Provide ad hoc analysis and insight on project performance to senior stakeholders. Support Central PMO functions including but not limited to, PPM tool administration. Line Management of Portfolio Support colleagues. Experience / Requirements – Must Have 3+ years in a PMO Analyst role with demonstrable experience in the areas of planning, scheduling, resource and capacity management. Proven experience supporting the planning and resourcing activities for complex or large-scale project and portfolios of work, including integrating plans and schedules from multiple sources into portfolio-level plans Experience in manging cross-portfolio dependencies and planning/resourcing-related risks and issues Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and experience of applying these in a structured PMO environment. Strong understanding of project and programme lifecycles. Proficiency with project/portfolio management tooling (or the ability to pick this up) as a user and in a support/configuration role (examples include Microsoft Project, Azure Dev Ops, KeyedIn, One Plan, Planisware, JIRA etc) Experience / Requirements – Desirable Experience in establishing or maturing a PMO planning and resourcing function. Relevant certifications (e.g. P3O, MoP, Prince 2, SAFe). Personal Attributes: Detail orientated – high degree of accuracy in documentation, tracking and reporting. Organised and methodical with exceptional time management and workload-prioritisation skills. A strong communicator, with clear written and verbal communication skills and an ability to present often complex information clearly, concisely and for a wide range of stakeholders.
