Description

ABOUT YOU

You’ll bring a solid understanding of resource management principles and experience in a PMO or project management environment. You’re confident working with data and using resource management tools to support decision-making.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Results-driven and proactive
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and collaboration
  • Comfortable resolving conflicts and balancing competing priorities
  • Experienced in managing resources across multiple projects
  • Focused on continuous improvement and development

It’s also helpful if you have experience working with cross-functional teams and contributing to strategic planning.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Resource Manager to join our Regional Project Management Office (PMO). This is a key role responsible for ensuring the effective allocation of employee capabilities to bids and projects across the region. You’ll also support strategic capacity planning and work closely with Capability Managers to align resources with business needs.
Reporting to the Regional Head of PMO, you’ll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including Programme Managers, Project Managers, and Controllers. Your work will help shape how resources are planned, allocated, and managed across multiple projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Forecasting resource needs for bidding and project delivery
  • Supporting capability planning and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Ensuring employee skills and development needs are accurately recorded
  • Coordinating subcontractor use to align with internal capabilities
  • Assisting with recruitment planning through data analysis
  • Identifying suitable resources for project tasks and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting communication between employees and line managers regarding resource decisions
  • Helping manage resource-related risks and workload issues

You’ll also be expected to work across wider BMT teams when non-local capabilities are needed and contribute to decisions around outsourcing.
