QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive knowledge and practical application of project management frameworks such as PMI or PRINCE2, with expertise in scope, budget, resourcing, stakeholder engagement, risk, quality, and controls.
  • Deep understanding of the full project and program life-cycle, coupled with hands-on experience in delivery governance.
  • Proven experience leading a PMO, ideally in a high-growth environment, with strong people leadership and line management skills.
  • High attention to detail with a track record of producing high-quality outputs, and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced team environments.
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills, developed through significant delivery experience and regular engagement with senior internal and external stakeholders.
    This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and be able to gain a Baseline security clearance.
Responsibilities

YOUR NEW ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As the PMO Manager, you will join a high-performing program team within the Civil Line of Business where you can add value to the delivery of critical outcomes for our program. This is an opportunity to grow and evolve an established PMO that operates across multiple accounts with multiple customers and to drive quality outcomes for our business operations and project execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for delivering the PMO function for Leidos, including resource data and process management, governance, risk and issue management, reporting, and administration, in line with the Australian Projects Delivery Framework (APDF).
  • Lead the Civil PMO, shaping its strategy and structure as the line of business expands, while positioning the PMO team as a trusted partner across the organisation.
  • Provide project oversight and assurance, collaborate with QA to conduct quality and risk assessments, and review and improve risk management policies and protocols.
  • Chair internal governance boards, ensure effective governance structures and reporting are in place, and manage access to collaborative project platforms including SharePoint.
  • Partner with Program Managers, Senior Leadership, and the comms team to drive high-quality delivery, internal communications, and social engagement across the business.
