Description
We are seeking an experienced PMS Electrical Commissioning Supervisor to oversee the pre-commissioning and commissioning of Power Management Systems (PMS) for electrical substations. This critical role involves managing interfaces and loop checks with HV and LV electrical systems, ensuring all components are correctly integrated and validated according to design specifications. Key Responsibilities Commissioning Planning: Develop comprehensive PMS loop check and interface plans, outlining objectives, procedures, and schedules Collaborate with project engineers and cross-disciplinary teams to integrate commissioning activities Review vendor procedures for electrical testing Testing and Verification: Supervise vendors and subcontractors during electrical system testing Oversee interfaces, loop checks, and interlocks between power distribution, transformers, HV/LV switchgears, and EDGs with PMS Manage PMS electrical system integration tests for safe and correct operation Test Procedure Development: Create or review commissioning test procedures (CTPs) for electrical systems Determine temporary system requirements for commissioning tests Prepare vendor testing schedules and define plant, equipment, and specialist tool requirements Issue Management: Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues during pre-commissioning and commissioning Document discrepancies via Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate corrective actions Documentation: Prepare or review detailed commissioning reports Maintain accurate records of all activities, results, punch lists, and compliance documentation Collaboration: Coordinate with Commissioning Manager, subcontractors, vendors, and engineers Communicate results to stakeholders ensuring transparency Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Guarantee personnel are trained in relevant safety practices Handover: Participate in final acceptance of electrical systems Facilitate handover to operations team with documentation and training Required Qualifications Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Experience: Extensive experience in electrical commissioning, specifically: Pre-commissioning and commissioning of electrical substations Power Management Systems (PMS) for substations Control systems for power plants and substations Extra high voltage (400kV) systems Network control electrical systems Experience with DCS systems (Schneider, Hitachi, Siemens, ABB) Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of: Electrical systems and power distribution HV and LV switchgears Transformers and Emergency Diesel Generators (EDGs) Control systems and instrumentation PMS interfaces and loop checks Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities Strong organizational and documentation skills Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to supervise vendors and subcontractors Requirements Must be eligible to work in Belgium / hold an EU passport
