THE OPPORTUNITY:
Since 2019, the University of Edinburgh podcasts have been bringing together members of the University community- alumni, students and staff - in conversations that explore the ideas of belonging, shared experience and common ground.
The podcast intern will produce and host a new season of an alumni-themed podcast the which will be aired in the first semester of 2024-25.
Providing a new perspective and bringing their own personality to the podcast, the intern will work with us to develop and evolve the podcast within an established format and a supportive working environment.
The podcast intern is an integral part of the podcast project. From a personal development perspective, it is an opportunity to learn about all aspects of podcasting from planning and delivery to marketing and promotion, whilst from a student representation perspective, it is essential component that ensures that the content is fresh and relevant and an effective and compelling platform for diverse student voices.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), and offers hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The salary for this post is £23,414 per annum pro rata.
Employ.ed on Campus is run by the Careers Service in collaboration with University departments and Schools. It offers exclusive summer internships at the University over the summer for 2nd year to penultimate year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK. You cannot take part if you are a visiting student, or you have already taken part in the programme before.
