ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a motivated, caring, and enthusiastic Podiatrist to join our dynamic team at Healthy Lifestyles Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-focused care and wants to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. In this role, you will be an integral part of a collaborative allied health team, working alongside experienced Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians, and Credentialled Diabetes Educators to provide holistic care tailored to the needs of each patient. You’ll also receive ongoing support from our dedicated administration and leadership teams, ensuring you have the tools and guidance to focus on what you do best—helping people improve their health and quality of life.
Your work will be primarily based at our Head Office in Strathpine, with outreach services provided to partner medical centres, and allied health practices in the surrounding North Brisbane suburbs. Depending on your preferences and availability, we offer flexible part-time or full-time arrangements to suit your lifestyle and career goals. This role is ideal for a practitioner who values autonomy with strong professional support, enjoys variety in their day-to-day work, and wants to make a meaningful impact across a wide patient demographic—from clients with diabetes to older adults to individuals managing chronic health conditions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver Comprehensive Podiatric Care: Provide high-quality, evidence-based podiatry assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to clients with a wide range of conditions including diabetic foot complications, musculoskeletal issues, nail and skin pathologies, and general foot health concerns.
  • Develop Individualised Treatment Plans: Tailor care plans to each patient’s unique needs and goals, including orthotic prescription and fitting, nail surgery where appropriate, pressure offloading techniques, wound management, and preventative care.
  • Provide Routine Podiatry Services: Deliver general foot care such as nail debridement, corn and callus removal, fungal treatment, and ingrown toenail management in clinical and community settings.
  • Educate and Empower Patients: Offer guidance on footwear choices, foot hygiene, fall prevention, injury prevention, and self-care practices. Promote positive lifestyle changes to improve overall health and mobility.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with allied health professionals including dietitians, diabetes educators, GPs, and exercise physiologists to ensure coordinated care across the patient journey.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation: Record patient notes, assessment outcomes, treatment plans, and referrals using clinical software in accordance with professional standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Adhere to Compliance and Safety Standards: Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment for patients and staff.
