SCHEDULE AND SUPERVISION

The POEM Program Coordinator is a full-time (40 hours/week), exempt position that is remote, serving the Greater Cincinnati area. While general work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, evening or weekend hours will be required to facilitate a biweekly support group and may occasionally be needed for events or other program or agency activities. The selected individual must be available for periodic in-person work in Cincinnati and be comfortable working in a different city than MHAOhio’s home office, which is based in Columbus. Occasional travel to Columbus will be required for agency events, trainings, or team meetings, with mileage reimbursed. This position reports to the POEM Program Director.*
POEM (Perinatal Outreach and Encouragement for Moms) is a growing and nationally recognized program of Mental Health America of Ohio that works to close gaps in care for pregnant and parenting people with perinatal mental health complications. POEM serves as a single-entry point of care through Peer CareConnect services: telehealth peer support and care navigation, support groups, a mentoring program, and direct access to perinatal mental health clinicians. POEM Rise provides all Peer CareConnect services exclusively by and for Black mothers and birthing persons. This position will entail up to 80% of work time providing Peer CareConnect services directly to program participants.
