Shift: Varied Days Off: Varied   *Wage based on experience.  Ready to take the lead and make every hand count?  As the manager of our Poker Room, you’ll oversee everything from game integrity and regulatory compliance to revenue growth and player experience. This role blends sharp business acumen with top-tier hospitality — balancing table spreads, labor strategy, and high-limit player engagement to maximize profitability while delivering an exceptional guest experience. Duties include; but not limited to:  * Lead all aspects of Poker Room operations with a focus on profitability, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and exceptional guest service. * Drive revenue growth through strategic game spread management, player development initiatives, and high-limit player engagement. * Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, including labor costs, table utilization, and promotional performance, to optimize results. * Adjust table spreads and staffing levels to maximize profitability while maintaining superior service standards. * Ensure full compliance with all applicable gaming laws, regulations, and internal policies. * Recruit, interview, train, evaluate, and supervise poker team members to meet departmental standards and productivity goals. * Develop and manage daily staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage while controlling labor expenses. * Partner with Table Games Management to establish and implement gaming policies, procedures, financial objectives, and operational standards. * Observe and coach team members to ensure adherence to training protocols, performance expectations, and procedural compliance. Requirements: High school diploma. Minimum of two (2) years of poker dealing experience required.  Minimum of two to three (2–3) years of supervisory or managerial experience required.  Comprehensive knowledge of all poker games, including rules, procedures, and cheating detection methods. Strong understanding of gaming manuals, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of Prairie Meadows policies and procedures. Ability to train dealers in all aspects of poker operations. Strong business acumen and understanding of revenue drivers within a poker environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to review and comprehend operational documentation. Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance and labor efficiency preferred.  Indoor casino environment. Must be able to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays. Majority of shift spent on the casino floor, subject to crowds, noise, and smoke levels depending on customer volume. Ability to stand and walk for an entire 8-hour shift. Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 35 pounds. Ability to distinguish various colors.
