JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Poker Shift Supervisor
Department: Gaming
Reports To: Director of Poker

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of tribal policies and procedures and Arizona Gaming rules and regulations.
  • Understanding of the supervisory process.
  • Understanding of documentation required for Poker Room transactions.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of games.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (QUALIFICATIONS)

  • One (1) year floor supervisor experience, one (1) year Poker dealer experience, and a High School Diploma or GED and any combination of academic education, training, or work experience which demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Must pass a required math test.
  • Must adhere to the U.S. Federal and Tribal laws and policies governing the management of personnel records and ensure confidentiality of restricted data.
  • Must submit to random alcohol and drug testing.
  • Must obtain a valid gaming license.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures adequate play at each table by making assignments as necessary.
  • Assists in maintaining the types of games being played, the limit and buy-in.
  • Maintains a comfortable atmosphere in the poker room.
  • Keeps an open communication between other departments.
  • Maintains proper documentation on all transactions through shift reports.
  • Keeps Poker Manager informed of any irregularities.
  • This position ensures that immediate action is taken on any situation that might be illegal or extraordinary.
    Minor Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
