JOB SUMMARY

The Chief of Police is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations of the police department, ensuring the safety and security of the community. This position involves strategic planning, policy development, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance law enforcement services. REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven leadership experience in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of criminal investigation techniques and report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in surveillance methods and loss prevention strategies.
  • Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
  • Familiarity with security protocols and practices within a community policing framework.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate police vehicles under various conditions.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training will be provided as necessary.
  • Ability to handle animals safely in various circumstances as part of law enforcement duties.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with community members, government officials, and media representatives. This role requires a dedicated individual committed to serving the community while upholding the highest standards of integrity within law enforcement.
