The Port of Tilbury London Police is seeking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced transferee or re-joiner Constable to Police London’s major Port. No two days are ever the same, policing a unique environment with its own unique challenges. We love being able to provide the best service possible to the port, its tenants and customers and being able to adapt to a variety of different incidents.
Successful candidates will have to be physically fit, pass a medical and will be subject to a vetting process required for police officers.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking dedicated individuals who are committed to public service, capable of working in often challenging environments, and confident in making independent decisions. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, able to engage with diverse communities, and demonstrate integrity, resilience, and sound judgment in a variety of situations. You will be flexible to work night shifts and weekends.

  • Experienced transferee or re-joiner Constable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and adapt to diverse audiences
  • Good problem-solving, risk analysis, and decision-making abilities under pressure
  • Team player with emotional intelligence and the ability to manage conflict sensitively and effectively
  • Proficient in IT systems, time management, and applying guidance in a policing context
