The City of Murphysboro, Illinois is accepting applications for Police Officers and Firefighters, for the purpose of establishing an eligibility list for hiring. Responsibilities:
- Patrol the City of Murphysboro and protect the citizens thereof while enforcing applicable Federal, State and Local laws.
- Police Officer shall be responsible for the care and inspection of all assigned equipment.
- Police Officers shall conduct uniformed patrol with the City, concentrating on the prevention of crime through proactive enforcemetn, uniformed presence, and professional completion for calls of service.
- Written reports of all activity shall be prepared.
