Description THE CITY OF DANVILLE: The City of Danville is located 35 miles southwest of Lexington and is a thriving community with a population of 17,000. The City of Danville is also the business hub to a 5 county, 100,000 +region with quality school systems and a highly educated workforce POSITION SUMMARY: This is a non-supervisory position that provides police protection within the City of Danville along with related duties as required. This is a skilled police position providing safety to the citizens of Danville, KY, and the work performed is required with a high level of initiative, integrity, trustworthiness, and ethics . The position will be subject to all the laws and regulations of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and work is performed under direct supervision in accordance with well-defined departmental policies and procedures. COMPENSATION: The starting salary for this position is $51,071 annually. The salary will increase to $53,199 annually upon graduation from the KY police academy and obtaining police certification.
