Job Overview:
Chugach seeks a detail-oriented Policy Analyst – Export Control Compliance to support a federal government agency in Alexandria, VA. The primary mission of this role is to standardize operational processes and procedures to to form the foundation for developing comprehensive, multi-level training programs aligned with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), applicable regulations, and export control requirements.
The Policy Analyst will assess and analyze existing processes to document accurate, repeatable workflows, identifying and advising on potential enhancements in coordination with and at the direction of customer leadership. This position requires close collaboration with leadership, compliance officers, technical experts, and training developers to ensure training content accurately reflects approved workflows and regulatory requirements.
This is a short-term position with potential to convert to long-term and requires an active Secret Clearance. Work will be performed on-site at the customer location in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Observe, assess, and document existing agency processes in alignment with SOPs, applicable regulations, and export control requirements.
  • Standardize and document processes for the purpose of developing role-specific training materials, ensuring content is accurate and consistent.
  • Collaborate with agency leadership to confirm process documentation prior to training development.
  • Coordinate with training development teams to ensure process documentation translates into comprehensive, role-based training modules.
  • Upon request from customer leadership, assess and advise on potential process enhancements to improve compliance, efficiency, or clarity.
  • Ensure all documentation is auditable, clear, and consistent with export control and applicable agency requirements.
  • Display initiative in gathering and analyzing process information while adhering to customer-defined priorities.
  • Ensure that process documentation remains aligned with regulatory requirements and agency approvals.
  • Communicate process documentation clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactively coordinate with customer leadership to confirm documentation accuracy before training integration.
