Description
SAIC is seeking a Policy Analyst to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Current focus areas include strategic planning, security cooperation activities within the various Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs), and countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Work will be conducted on the government site at FT Belvoir, VA. Employee may be required to travel domestically and overseas, as directed by the client. Job Responsibilities Include: Research, organize, analyze, and summarize data conduct literature searches and develop preliminary findings, conclusions, and recommendations; and draft written reports and summaries for Department of Defense policy, strategies and plans Develop white papers, point papers, and briefings, as required Interact with experienced technical staff, management, and government clients Assist in the preparation, presentation, and follow-up of briefings. Plan, attend, and document meetings and conferences. Perform administrative actions as directed, e.g., process classified material, comply with administrative requirements, etc. Education & Experience: BA/BS degree in a related field and three (3) years of experience Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills Proficient research and analytical skills Experience in MS Office Suite Ability to work in a dynamic work environment with a diverse client base Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team Ability to problem-solve in a time constrained environment Ability to take initiative and work independently as appropriate Ability to prioritize tasks through strong organizational skills Military experience, or experience with contracting or the federal government a plus Clearance: Active Secret clearance, all applicants must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. Desired Skills: Master’s Degree in a related field Experience with the Task Management Tracker (TMT) Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
