Responsibilities

As a Corporate Affairs Graduate with RAA, you’ll work across both the Government & Public Policy and Corporate Communications teams, helping to drive RAA’s advocacy and thought leadership initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in drafting high-quality content, conducting research, and supporting communication efforts through various channels to advance RAA’s strategic goals.

  • Draft high-quality content aligned with RAA’s advocacy and thought leadership agenda, including speeches, briefing notes, submissions, and media releases.
  • Monitor media activities and emerging trends, providing insights and recommendations on how to address key issues.
  • Help create engaging content for media, social media, and digital platforms to promote RAA’s advocacy efforts.
  • Review and enhance the advocacy content on RAA’s websites, ensuring it effectively communicates RAA’s positions and activities to members.
  • Contribute to the development of accessible public policy positions for RAA’s leaders and spokespeople.
  • Draft public policy positions aligned with RAA’s key advocacy priorities and strategic goals.
  • Conduct research and analysis on emerging issues, providing written and verbal insights and recommendations to support advocacy efforts.
  • Monitor parliamentary and government activities, staying informed on new developments and offering recommendations on how they may impact RAA.
  • Support other functions within the Government & Public Policy and Corporate Communications teams, contributing to RAA’s overall advocacy and communication strategies.
  • Assist in the ongoing development and execution of communication strategies to enhance RAA’s visibility and impact in the public policy space.
