• Undertake research and analysis across early childhood, school, vocational education and training, and higher education
• Share insights through reports, briefs, media, and public presentations.
• Work closely with sector leaders in a small, high-impact team to deliver practical solutions.

The Mitchell Institute is seeking a Policy Fellow to join our dynamic team and help tackle Australia’s most pressing education challenges.
As a key member of a small, agile team, you’ll lead and contribute to strategic projects that generate fresh thinking and deliver practical, evidence-informed solutions across the education continuum—from early childhood to higher education and vocational training.

In this role, you’ll:

• Conduct rigorous policy and research analysis of education systems
• Produce high-impact written outputs including reports, briefs, and media pieces
• Represent the Institute as a public-facing spokesperson
• Engage with stakeholders and represent the Institute at forums and national conferences

This position reports to the Director of the Peter Noonan Policy Impact Program and offers a unique opportunity to influence education reform at a national level.
