Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. In collaboration with more than 100 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.
We are looking to fill an exciting position that will be based in our Policy and Advocacy Team. Since 2017, TI has been partnering with investigative journalists at the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) as part of the Global Anti-Corruption Consortium (GACC). Taking advantage of the opportunities generated by OCCRP’s in-depth investigations, TI is coordinating national, regional and global anti-corruption advocacy campaigns and pursuing legal action work across the world.
Examples stemming from this collaboration include TI’s campaigning and legal accountability work around the Azerbaijani Laundromat, Golden Visas in Europe, and the Gambia Heist investigations together with TI national chapters and other partners. This work directly contributes to the TI Strategy 2020, and also provides evidence and feeds into our global advocacy priorities for 2019-2020: (1) tackling of the cross-border flows of illicit money and (2) protecting political systems from undue influence.
Main function: The Policy Officer, Anti-Corruption & Anti-Money Laundering provides support to the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) team, conducting research and drafting reports to address the knowledge needs of key stakeholders as well as contributing to a variety of organizational tasks in support of the project.
