MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced university degree in political sciences, social sciences, economics, economics, sociology, food security, nutrition, sustainable agriculture (including livestock, forestry and fisheries), or related field.
  • Three years of relevant experience in policy analysis and policy assistance work, relating to social protection, poverty eradication, food and nutrition security, development, monitoring and evaluation of policies and programmes.
  • Working knowledge (proficiency - level C) of English and intermediate knowledge (intermediate proficiency - level B) of another official FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Work experience in more than one location or area of work, particularly in field positions.
  • Relevance and extent of experience in policy analysis and advice relating to poverty reduction and food and nutrition security.
  • Relevance and extent of experience in working with inter-governmental bodies and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Extent and relevance of experience in quantitative and/or qualitative analysis, particularly with regard to poverty reduction and reduction of inequalities in food security and nutrition.
  • Relevance and extent of experience on Monitoring and Evaluation and Results Management of policy implementation.
  • Extent and relevance of experience in organizing multilateral and multi-stakeholder meetings and workshops.
