This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in implementing the Energy Security Safeguard schemes. IPART’s Safeguard team is responsible for a range of regulatory functions for the Energy Savings Scheme and the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme. Importantly, these functions ensure that the schemes are sustainable, operate with integrity and are properly incentivising genuine energy savings and peak demand reduction activities. As the Policy Officer in the team, you will: Analyse and review policy issues and their impacts for the implementation of Safeguard projects. Collaborate with staff across IPART and other government departments to solve policy issues as they arise. Contribute to stakeholder engagement to support consultation and implementation of the Safeguard schemes. Undertake research and analysis to inform decision making and prepare briefings for the Scheme Administrator/Regulator. About you To be successful in this role, you will be proactive and thrive on the timely delivery of outcomes. You will have experience in policy development and implementation, along with a sound understanding of stakeholder engagement methods. You will be motivated to learn, able to adapt quickly to changing work priorities, and enjoy contributing to a team through a collaborative approach to your work. It is essential you have effective written and verbal communication skills, supported by strong research and analytical capabilities. The salary range for this role is $113,100 - $122,297 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading. You can read the role description here.
