Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you an experienced / Senior Policy and Public Affairs professional who would like the opportunity to join the national expert in resuscitation and make a real impact on people’s lives?
We’re looking for a Policy and Public Affairs Manager to lead strategic policy development and influence government decision-making at the highest levels (UK and Devolved Nations).
Resuscitation Council UK is working towards a day when every person in society has the CPR skills they need to save a life.

YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE:

· Building and maintaining strong relationships within Whitehall, Westminster, and key government ministries, influencing decision-makers across the political spectrum.
· Designing and producing policy content, including reports, blogs, and social media posts, to effectively communicate our initiatives and thought leadership.
· Translating complex policy topics into accessible, clear language for our campaigning activity
You will join RCUK at a crucial time as we work to improve the provision of post cardiac arrest support across the UK and work to increase bystander CPR rates through targeted monitoring of CPR training in schools.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

You will have design and delivery responsibility for policy and public affairs across the UK. You will work to implement policy change by tailoring our policy recommendations to targeted influencing opportunities.
You will come with a track record of developing effective networks and relationships with civil servants, special advisors, politicians, professional bodies and think tanks.
The successful candidate will be proactive and high performing, using your expertise to drive real change within our resuscitation community and playing a vital part to contribute to our mission.
