Description Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company Position: Policy Service Technician Department: Service Center Reports To: Operations Supervisor Position Summary The Policy Service Technician plays a vital role in supporting the underwriting team by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of policy processing. This position involves handling multiple tasks, assisting with policy documentation, and communicating with underwriters and internal teams to rate and issue policies. The Policy Service Technician is responsible for gathering and verifying information, maintaining organized records, and ensuring compliance with company guidelines. Essential Functions & Responsibilities • Utilize multiple systems and resources to accurately rate and issue new and renewal business within company standards. • Complete non-renewals based on Underwriter instructions. • Organize and maintain policy-related information within the ImageRight system. • Serve as backup support to other Policy Service Technicians to maintain departmental service standards. • Collaborate effectively with internal teams across the organization to enhance service delivery. • Assist with administrative tasks to support underwriting and service teams as needed Qualifications & Skills • High school diploma required; college coursework in business, finance, or insurance-related fields preferred. • Property & Casualty license preferred or obtain one within six (6) months of employment. • At least 12 months of commercial lines rating experience or equivalent experience with an insurance carrier. • Proficiency in Commercial Lines Insurance • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills. • Practical verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. Physical Requirements • Ability to work in an office setting, including prolonged sitting and computer use. • Clear verbal communication skills for interacting with team members, brokers, and customers.
Responsibilities
