JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an accomplished Policy Analyst with specialized expertise in Zero Trust technology and a strong background supporting federal government initiatives. This role will focus on developing, analyzing, and implementing policies aligned with Zero Trust principles to bolster cybersecurity within government systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 10 yearsof demonstrated experience as a Policy Analyst, specifically focusing on cybersecurity policies and Zero Trust technology within federal government environments.
  • Deep understanding and practical experience in Zero Trust principles, architectures, and technologies within government systems, coupled with expertise in policy development and implementation.
  • Ability to craft comprehensive cybersecurity policies aligned with Zero Trust principles, considering the dynamic nature of threats and technologies within federal government systems.
  • Proficiency in reviewing existing policies, conducting impact assessments, and suggesting enhancements to ensure alignment with evolving Zero Trust methodologies and federal cybersecurity regulations.
  • Experience in devising strategies for effective policy implementation, considering stakeholder needs, organizational structures, and change management principles within government agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity regulations, policies, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA), and their practical application in shaping cybersecurity policies aligned with Zero Trust paradigms.
  • Experience coordinating executive reviews/approvals of policies.
  • Proven ability to conduct policy analysis, gap assessments, and impact analysis, recommending policy enhancements while considering Zero Trust security measures within government contexts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, articulate policy concepts, and drive consensus on Zero Trust policy initiatives.
  • Strong research capabilities to stay updated on cybersecurity trends, emerging Zero Trust technologies, and the ability to document policies, procedures, and compliance reports effectively.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, physics, or related discipline
  • Employer will accept years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and refinement of Zero Trust security policies, guidelines, and standards tailored to federal government requirements and aligned with cybersecurity best practices.
