Metal Works is seeking an experienced Polisher to join our team! The hours are 7-3:30pm Monday through Friday.
JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Polisher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for polishing and finishing materials to achieve special surface finishes our customers require. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work with various polishing tools and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: Previous experience in polishing or finishing materials in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not required.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work with polishing equipment and tools.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and perform repetitive tasks.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety practices related to polishing materials and operating machinery.
Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to report issues or provide updates to supervisors

Polish Materials: Utilizing hand grinders, stroke sanders and techniques to grind/polish various metals to ensure a smooth and polished finish.
Inspect Work: Inspect materials before and after polishing to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Operate Equipment: Use of hand tools, and other equipment to achieve the desired finish on the material.
Maintain Equipment: Ensure that polishing tools and machines are maintained and cleaned properly for optimal performance.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and use protective gear, such as gloves, goggles, mask, and hearing protection when handling tools and materials.
Quality Control: Check for defects, such as scratches, pits, or imperfections, and re-polish or repair areas as needed.
Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure that finished materials meet customer specifications.
