Title: Polysomnographic technician Department Org: Sleep Disorders Center - 114140 Employee Classification: B8 - Unclass Contingent AFSCME HSC Bargaining Unit: AFSCME HSC Primary Location: HSC H Shift:  3 Start Time:  1900   End Time:  0730 Posted Salary: $21.49 - $25.27 Float: False Rotate: False On Call: False Travel: False Weekend/Holiday: True Job Description: The Polysomnographic technician works under the general supervision of the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or Manager to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technician can perform their duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. Minimum Qualifications: • Currently enrolled in an CAAHEP or Co-ARC program. • Must successfully pass the BRPT or NBRC SDS exam within six (6) of graduation/completion of program. • BLS Certified through the American Heart Association. Certification must be active at time of hire and maintained throughout employment in position.
