Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Assist in maintaining all water features on property. Assists in repairing all rotating and stationary equipment as related to water features or swimming pools. Assist in conducting water chemical and water meter readings and make entries into logs as necessary. Act as back-up for the pool mechanic, as needed.

CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean, scrub scum lines
  • Sweep, vacuum, wash down all pools, pool decks and decorative fountains.
  • Clean pump strainers, sand filters, change cartridge filters, clean cartridge filters, dump and fresh fill Jacuzzis and hot tubs as required.
  • Mix chemicals, top off chemical mix tanks, know and wear all personal protective equipment. Read and interpret Material Data Safety Sheets.
  • Assist in maintaining all water features on property.
  • Assist in repairing all rotating and stationary equipment as related to water features or swimming pools.
  • Assist in conducting water chemical and water meter readings and make entries into logs as necessary.
  • Act as back-up for the pool mechanic, as needed.
  • Taking water meter readings and log entries
  • Repairing rotating and stationary equipment as related to the swimming pool, lagoon and water features.
  • Ensuring pool and lagoon water chemistry is in compliance with regulations
  • Adhere to safe work practices, instructions and procedures.
  • chemical handling and water treatment.
  • Proactively identify property maintenance issues within the hotel and to resolve with a “hands on” attitude.
