Description The Pool Service Maintenance Specialist I will maintain pools at client’s and associated facilities for the company. Duties/Responsibilities: Cleans and maintains filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments. Periodically empties pools to perform deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces. Regularly tests pool water for pH; chlorine; presence of bacteria, algae, or contaminants; and other data. Ensures correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water. Calculates and adds chemical treatments to maintain pH balance, eliminate contaminants, or correct other problems. Inspects pool and equipment; troubleshoots and repairs identified issues. Completes and maintains daily logs outlining chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies. Resolves client or customer problems. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Extensive understanding of repairs, automation, equipment, and piping related to swimming pools. Mechanical and manual labor skills related to aquatic facilities and equipment. Math skills to calculate chemical additives and ratios. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to maintain logs and records. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of related experience required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time. Must have adequate sight and hearing to properly interpret water analysis, equipment readings, and complete recordkeeping. Physically able to perform all aspects of cleaning, checking, and monitoring pools and facilities.

Responsibilities

The specialist is responsible for maintaining client pools by cleaning, performing chemical treatments to ensure proper water quality, and inspecting/troubleshooting pool equipment. This role also involves resolving client issues and maintaining detailed daily logs of activities and chemical usage.
