JOB OVERVIEW
- A pool service technician will be primarily responsible for servicing residential
and commercial swimming pools with various repairs and equipment installation
- This position includes a variety of responsibilities and tasks including: pool
openings & closings, general service calls, equipment failure diagnostics and
sales, liner installations, safety cover installations. All work orders completed will
be tracked within company software by the technician.
- 3-5 years of experience in the pool and hot tub industry, or similar, is required.
Pay rate will be reflective of experience level.
REQUIREMENTS
- Good record keeping. Ability to use company implemented technology to track
company forms, working hours, job time, job problems, work orders, etc. via
smartphone or tablet
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions/procedures
- Ability to work both as an individual and in a team environment
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving
- Effective oral and written communication skills with co-workers and customers
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Be mechanically inclined
- Must have a valid G class driver’s license and a clean driving record with a
minimum of 2 years driving experience
- Be bondable with professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude
- Solid interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Motivated team player
- Previous pool and spa experience and equipment knowledge is required
- Plumbing or HVAC license or experience is an asset
- Landscaping experience is an asset
- CPO certification is an asset
Additional Information:
- Willing to work long hours during peak season
- Work in all weather conditions
- Light to heavy lifting (up to 75lbs)
- Steel toe footwear is required
- Tools will be supplied
- Uniform will be supplied
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
