We are seeking a qualified Pool Systems Specialist to join our Engineering team. This specialist role is responsible for the technical operation, maintenance and compliance of all aquatic facilities across the resort. Your day to day This position is suited to a certified pool professional with strong technical expertise in water quality management, plant operations and preventative maintenance, who takes pride in delivering safe and exceptional guest environments. This role is worked on a Tuesday to Saturday roster, primarily morning shifts, with flexibility required to meet operational needs. Duties include:  * Operate and maintain resort pools, spas and water features in line with Australian Standards, health regulations and best practice * Manage all aquatic plant systems, including filtration, chemical dosing, pumps, heating and circulation systems * Conduct accurate daily water testing and chemical balancing, ensuring optimal water quality at all times * Perform scheduled preventative maintenance across all pool and spa systems * Troubleshoot faults, complete minor repairs and escalate complex technical issues * Maintain pool plant rooms to a high standard of safety, cleanliness and organisation * Ensure all compliance records, logbooks and reporting are completed accurately * Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement * Maintain the presentation, safety and cleanliness of all aquatic areas * Support the broader Engineering team with maintenance activities as required * Respond promptly to guest requests and operational needs * Uphold IHG brand standards, safety protocols and environmental practices   What We’re Looking For * Certificate III/IV in Swimming Pool and Spa Service or recognised Aquatic Technical Operator certification – essential * Demonstrated experience in commercial or resort pool operations * Strong technical knowledge of: * Water chemistry and testing * Filtration and dosing systems * Pool plant equipment and hydraulics * Proven ability to manage preventative maintenance programs and compliance requirements * High attention to detail with a proactive, safety-first mindset * Ability to work independently and in a team within a hands-on environment * Strong problem-solving and fault-finding capability * Professional communication skills when engaging with guests and colleagues * Unlimited working rights in Australia   Join our extraordinary world and experience a place where you can be yourself, share your ideas, support your personal growth and wellbeing, and be a valued member of an inspirational team.
