Job Description – Pool & Landscape Maintenance Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pool & Landscape Maintenance Technician to maintain swimming pools, water features, and landscaped areas. The role involves ensuring that pools are safe, clean, and fully operational, while landscaped areas remain healthy, attractive, and well-kept. The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality upkeep of outdoor facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning and vacuuming of swimming pools, including skimming, brushing, and tile scrubbing.
  • Monitor and maintain correct chemical balance (chlorine, pH, alkalinity) in pools and water features.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and service pool pumps, filters, heaters, lights, and related equipment.
  • Carry out minor repairs such as leak detection, valve replacement, or tile fixes.
  • Maintain landscaped areas including lawn mowing, trimming, pruning, irrigation checks, and pest control.
  • Ensure proper operation of irrigation systems and make adjustments or repairs when required.
  • Monitor plant health and soil conditions; fertilize and replant as necessary.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and report issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, chemical usage, and repairs.
  • Adhere to safety standards and follow environmental regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior experience in swimming pool and/or landscaping maintenance.
  • Knowledge of pool water chemistry, equipment operation, and basic repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with horticulture, irrigation, and garden maintenance practices.
  • Ability to handle tools, machinery, and maintenance equipment safely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Basic English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Trade certifications in pool operations, landscaping, or horticulture are a plus

Working Conditions

  • Outdoor-based role, including exposure to sun, water, and chemicals.
  • Early morning shifts may be required for maintenance before facility use.
  • Occasional weekend or evening work may be required during peak periods.
