The New Porgera Limited now has a vacancy for a qualified and experienced individual join our Finance Department as an Accountant, Management.                                                               About the role Reporting to the Superintendent – Reporting, Planning & Analysis, the Accountant, Management helps with effective cost control, forecasting, and performance reporting across site operations. The role provides timely financial and managements insights that support operational decision-making and financial discipline and contributes to ongoing improvement of financial reporting processes. The role involves analyzing financial performance, preparing management reports, managing budgets and forecasts, and ensuring cost efficiency across the organization. In this role, you will: * Conduct weekly reviews of purchase requisitions (PRs) and purchase orders (POs) to ensure proper coding, approvals, and budget alignment. * Perform weekly cost reviews with departments to monitor spending and ensure compliance with approved budgets. * Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for operational and G&A departments. * Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes, consolidating inputs and analysing cost drivers and trends. * Partner with department managers to provide insights, cost control advice, and support for operational decision-making. * Prepare monthly management reports and presentations highlighting key financial and operational performance metrics. * Support strategic cost improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of management reporting tools. * Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data in SAP and other planning systems. * Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the NPL Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all health and safety rules and producers.      About You You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce and are working toward or have earned a CPA/CA qualification. You have 3–5 years of experience in management accounting or financial planning and analysis, preferably in the mining or resource sector. You are analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with operational leaders to provide meaningful insights. Preferred Systems Knowledge * SAP - FICO * Xeras * OneStream * Microsoft Excel * Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCs) Competencies and Skills * Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial accounting, treasury management and audit processes.  * Business Partnering: Proven ability to build relationships with senior leaders and operational teams, drive financial accountability, and provide clear insights to help with decision-making.  * Leadership and Team Development: The ability to lead a develop a high-performing team, providing mentorship and ensuring strong accountability. * Systems and Data Management: Proficiency in SAP FICO, Xeras, and OneStream, along with strong Excel skills for financial modelling and reporting process improvement.
