PORK PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN – NURSERY

People and Culture Services is recruiting on behalf of a nursery operation/ family-owned agricultural business, located near Wellesley. We are seeking a part-time Pork Production Technician to join the team for approximately two hours per day.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION:

• Desire to keep the animals and the barn in excellent condition
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability – weekend work may be required

• Sorting, shipping, and receiving pigs
• Ensure all animals have access to feed and water
• Handle and move animals as needed
• Perform general barn maintenance including pressure washing, disinfecting pens and other housekeeping activities
• Follow all biosecurity procedures
• Perform regular health checks to recognize and treat livestock health problems
• Administer medications as needed
• Record various information to maintain livestock production records
