JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Portable Operations Administrator, the Portables Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and inspecting portable courts at all stages of the production process. This role collaborates with Portable Operations Division managers to ensure production consistently meets the quality standards of Praters Inc. and our customers.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure/ruler.
  • 6+ months of experience as a Basketball Flooring or Portables Production Technician (preferred).
  • Prior experience in a business, manufacturing, or production environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective leadership, analytical, and people management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Smartsheet, QuickBooks, and other related applications.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities
  • Review production schedules to confirm each project is thoroughly planned, with clear scopes of work, accurate information, and secured labor, materials, and equipment to avoid delays.
  • Coordinate with managers and supervisors to ensure corrections are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Attend weekly production meetings, document discussions, distribute minutes, and follow up with action items across departments.
  • Develop and implement quality checklists, standards, and tolerances for each stage of the portable court production process.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on courts and materials during all phases of production, shipping, and receiving.
  • Proactively identify quality concerns and collaborate with the team to create processes that prevent issues before they arise.
  • Communicate with the design department to confirm stencil and decal accuracy prior to installation.
  • Provide quality control training to production team members and mentor new hires within the operations division.
  • Support the development of employee training programs, including onboarding, ongoing education, and mentorship initiatives.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase departmental efficiency and overall company performance.
  • Collaborate with management to monitor, organize, and schedule production training.
  • Participate in company or external training opportunities to continuously expand department knowledge and skills.
  • Work weekends or overtime as required.
  • Serve as a professional representative of Praters Inc., supporting the company’s mission, goals, and ethical standards.
  • Follow all company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
