Brighter Futures for Children is a not-for-profit company, owned by, but independent of, Reading Borough Council. Although we are independent, we are very much part of the Reading Family. Responsibilities

ABOUT TEAM/ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Portage Team as a Portage Visitor on a 1 year fixed term basis.
1 x Full time - 37 hours per week, 1 year fixed term post (£32,654 to £37,938 Per year)
1 x Part time - 29.6 (4 days a week), 1 year fixed term post (£26,123 to £30,350 Per year)

As a Portage Visitor you will provide a home-visiting service for pre-school children with developmental or learning difficulties, physical disabilities and/or other special needs. You will help parents to encourage their children’s development by suggesting activities and daily routines to make learning fun. You will also support the running of Portage groups held in our local children centres.
Training on the model recommended by the National Portage Association will be provided if needed.
