Essential Functions for the Day Porter Position: Taking responsibility for the appearance and functionality of the facility, both inside and out. Emptying and removing waste from waste baskets as needed and directed. Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming and cleaning carpets. Cleaning and replenishing supplies in restrooms. Assist with exterior maintenance and upkeep (snow removal, picking up waste, etc.). Transport tools and materials between sites or departments, set up and tear down for events. Provide light maintenance as needed or contact maintenance department to assist with maintenance needs. All other duties as assigned. Requirements for the Day Porter Position: Possess outstanding customer service skills and can-do attitude. High School Diploma/GED required. 1+ years of porter, janitorial, environmental services or other related experience preferred. Basic computer knowledge, including ability to use email and work order systems. Must have the ability to complete required safety classes online when assigned. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Background and drug test required prior to starting.
