Job Description The Porter plays an essential role in delivering warm, seamless, and personalized guest experiences. As one of the first points of contact for arriving guests, the Porter represents the hotel’s commitment to exceptional service and hospitality. Through attentive assistance, professionalism, and genuine care, the Porter helps create a positive first impression while supporting the overall guest journey throughout their stay. Qualifications Educational Background: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education or vocational training in hospitality, guest services, or related fields is an advantage. Guest Service Skills: Strong guest service orientation with a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests. Physical Fitness: Physically fit with the stamina required to lift, carry, and transport guest luggage safely and efficiently. Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is required. Additional language skills are an advantage, particularly in a luxury hotel environment serving an international clientele. Attention to Detail: Demonstrates strong attention to detail to ensure guest belongings are handled with care and delivered accurately to the correct locations. Hospitality Experience: Previous experience in guest services, bell service, or a related hospitality role is beneficial. Experience in a luxury hotel or upscale establishment is an advantage. Professional Appearance: Maintains a polished and professional appearance in accordance with the hotel’s grooming and uniform standards. Time Management Skills: Ability to manage time effectively, particularly during peak arrival and departure periods, to deliver prompt and seamless guest service.
