POSITION: Bartender’s Assistant / Bar Back
POSITION TYPE: Part-time
WAGE: Earn up to an average of $30 per hour

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Bartender’s Assistant, you play a key role in keeping the bar running smoothly and ensuring guests have a seamless experience. You’ll work closely with bartenders to keep supplies stocked, the bar area clean, and service flowing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This behind-the-scenes role is perfect for someone who is energetic, organized, and eager to learn the fundamentals of bartending while being part of a fun and supportive team. With hard work and dedication, this position is an excellent stepping stone to becoming a bartender!

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous hospitality or bar/restaurant experience is an asset
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
• Must meet the minimum legal age requirement for serving alcohol in your province
• A valid Serve it Right certification is required
• Availability must be open to work late nights and weekends
• Must be 19+ years of age

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS

• This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Typical shifts range between 4–8 hours and extend into late night hours.
• Must be available Fridays from 10:00am - 2:00pm

• Support bartenders by ensuring bar areas are fully stocked and guest-ready
• Restock liquor, beer, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other supplies throughout the shift
• Keep bar and service areas clean, organized, and safe (including clearing glassware and empty bottles)
• Assist with inventory counts and product rotation during your shift as needed
• Anticipate bartender needs and help keep service smooth and efficient
• Handle deliveries and restock storage areas as required
• Collaborate with both FOH and BOH to maintain seamless service and a great guest experience.
