PORTER Job Description Location: Kansas City, MO Summary: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. • Drives truck or equipment to assigned location. • Maintains telephone or radio contact with Yard Manager to receive instructions. • Cleans inside of truck. Performs routine maintenance on truck or equipment. • Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and practice them. • When assigned, will open a work order so time may be charged out to assigning department. • Reports accidents to HR immediately, obtaining names, license numbers and other details. • Must work with and for all departments in harmony. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a customer service focus with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results. Must have initiative and the ability act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives. Must possess a strong desire to learn. Responsibilities

The porter is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and performing routine maintenance on trucks and equipment. They must also coordinate with the Yard Manager and ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed.
