Description

The Porter functions within Central Portering and is responsible for transporting and distributing equipment, supplies, food and linen as well as transporting patients. 1. Grade 12 (preferred) 2. Oral and written English ability 3. Ability to identify and respond to priorities 4. Ability to understand and follow directions 5. Ability to adjust to handling of highs and lows in providing services 6. Good interpersonal and communication skills 7. Ability to operate tow motor, where applicable 8. Ability to operate delivery equipment 9. Ability to push, pull and lift heavy equipment and stand constantly 10. Ability to lift 25 pounds (linen) 11. Ability to move patients
