Description Indus Management Group is a property management company in Houston specializing in renovating and restoring distressed multifamily properties. With our first acquisition in 2002, Indus Management Group currently manages 38 apartment complexes in the Houston area. We specialize in the Class B & C property space, with over 10,000 units under management. Our goal has always been and continues to be to convert distressed properties into uplifted communities. Job Summary: The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and curb appeal of the property including grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots, and other common areas. Minimum Qualifications: Education: None Experience: None; some experience in the multifamily industry preferred License/Certification(s): None Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: English/Spanish fluency Basic computer and smartphone skills Must demonstrate professional and respectful behavior Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects Ability to understand and execute basic instructions Ability to contribute to a team-based approach to work Must be able to lift, pull, push, and carry at least 50 pounds Requirements Principal Responsibilities: Must have a professional and neat appearance Works within the safety guidelines outlined by the Company Upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots and other community areas Removes trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter daily Remove trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) prior to make-ready Assists in the cleaning of available apartments and or models Assists in the troubleshooting/repair of mechanical, carpentry, and electrical problems as needed Reports any maintenance concerns for repairs on apartments, models, clubhouse, and common areas Performs supplemental landscape maintenance and watering so that landscape areas are tidy and trimmed Keeps the Property Manager informed of any suspicious activities on or around the community Other tasks as assigned We are an equal opportunity?employer,?and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.

Responsibilities

The Porter is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and curb appeal of the entire property, including grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and common areas. This involves daily trash removal, assisting with cleaning vacant units, and performing supplemental landscape maintenance.
