Description The responsibility of a Porter is to provide support to site management and maintenance in the upkeep of our properties. A Porter’s primary responsibility is to ensure the grounds are kept free of litter and always look presentable to tenants and guests. This includes sweeping hallways, walkways, and entryways. Ensuring egresses are accessible and free of clutter. Identifying and fixing perimeter fencing, patios, and light fixtures. Maintaining good housekeeping throughout the site. On occasion, they will provide support to the maintenance staff by doing routine maintenance work such as changing light bulbs, greasing hinges, changing filters, and moving furniture. Responsibilities: Maintain property grounds Identify maintenance issues Conduct all work in a safe manner and in accordance with OSHA standards Other duties as assigned by supervision EOE M/W/D/V Requirements 1-year Porter experience preferred or previous ground maintenance experience a plus Physical Requirements: Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching in all directions, will be walking property grounds for extended periods of time, must be able to lift up to 30lbs, will work in the elements. Education: High School Diploma or GED Required
