Location: Royal Berkshire Hospital, London Road, Reading RG1 5AN
Shift Pattern: Monday- Sunday, Rotational Shifts, 9am-5pm 37.5 Hours per week.
Pay Rate: £ 12.21 an hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· To provide a portering service to all wards & departments. To escort and convey patients by wheelchair, bed or trolley
· Collect and deliver a range of goods including, drugs, bloods, furniture, feed bottles, case notes, specimens, x-rays and medical gas cylinders.
· Responsible for the regular and sufficient removal of general, recycling and clinical waste.
· Ensure all waste streams are segregated, handled, and disposed of in line with the site requirements.
· Comply with the health and safety procedures when moving waste around the site.
· Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.

· Presentable
· A good understanding of spoken and written English.
· Trained in Manual Handling
